An
efficient way to meet the needs of many children.
Feed the
Children - Our Feed A Child program is an efficient way to meet
the needs of many displaced children worldwide that need immediate and
ongoing attention.
Feed The Children operates in 14 countries
overseas, and through the years we have been supplying food and clothing
to feeding centers in the countries where we operate. Many of these
children are at these feeding centers because they have no where else
to turn. Many have been orphaned by war or natural disaster.
For $8 each month a real difference can
be made in the lives of children world wide. For this small amount we
can feed a child for the entire month.

Day in and day out, Feed The Children works
to deliver life-saving food to wherever it is needed most. But we cannot
do this without help from supporters. Food is ready to be delivered

Questions & Answers
Q: What makes Feed The Children
different?
A: We believe we do more to help the
hungry than any other private hunger-fighting
organization --- and that's especially true here
in the U.S. In 2000 alone, we delivered more than
97 million pounds of food and other basic
necessities to children and their
families.
Q: Where does all the food come
from?
A: The majority of the food we
distribute is donated by corporate sponsors,
including many of America's leading farmers and
food processors. What this means is we can make
every dollar we receive go a very long way.
Because much of the food has already been
provided, all we do is pick it up and deliver it
to wherever people are hungry and in need.
Q: Is that why Feed The Children
has its own fleet of trucks?
A:Exactly. Having our own fleet
means we usually can respond immediately when
there's been a disaster or when food has been made
available. It also means we can often take that
food directly from a corporate warehouse or
loading dock to a community where hungry people
are waiting.
Q: What does Feed The Children
do to be as efficient as possible?
A: Feed The Children works closely
with a network of 4,800 hunger-fighting
organizations from across America. They
partner with an additional 60,000 food pantries,
feeding centers and churches to distribute the
food. We didn't have to reinvent the wheel,
because these organizations are already in place
to help the hungry in their area. We deliver food
to them, and their volunteers distribute it
directly to needy children and their families.
Q: How do you measure the
difference Feed The Children is making?
A: There is only one way to
measure. There are hundreds of thousands of
boys and girls who are growing up healthy and
strong today, helped by the work our donors and
corporate partners have enabled us to do. Some of
these children would not be able to survive were
it not for the help our donors and partners
provided - but they are, and they have a brighter
future to look forward to because of this
generosity.
Accountability
At
Feed The Children, our pledge is to
maintain effective outreach by being good stewards
of the funds entrusted to us. We are audited
by the nonprofit specialists, Capin Crouse,
LLP. Financial data presented here is
summarized from the consolidated financial
statement of Feed The Children for the fiscal year
ending September 30, 2000.
Contributions to
Feed The Children are tax-deductible as allowed by
law.

District of Columbia and over 80 foreign
countries. We strive to meet the needs of
impoverished children and families today, as well
as provide them with hope for a better
tomorrow.
