Molokai
"The
Friendly Isle" is a small island, with less than 7,000 residents on
the entire island. The island of Molokai is quickly becoming
the "last best place" in Hawaii. Popular among frequent
Hawaii visitors and natives who long for the "old Hawaiian ways
in the old Hawaiian days", Molokai has everything you'd want
in a Hawaiian Vacation. There are no crowds, no malls and
no traffic lights on Molokai. Basic necessities are available
here, but for the city, shopping and entertainment, residents
can take the 20 minute plane trip departing frequently to Honolulu.
It should be most famous for its peace and solitude, not to
mention its long, deserted beaches and spectacular views. The
island offers great diving, you can expect to see anything
from hammerhead sharks to manta rays and dolphins!
Lanai
Much
of the charm of the island lies in its lack of traffic lights
(and traffic jams), its laid-back lifestyle and friendly
islanders who wave as they pass you on the street. Hospitality
on the island is most friendly and gracious, surpassed perhaps
only by the unspoiled beauty of the island scenery. From
the cool mountain countryside of Koele to the resort living
close to the shoreline at the Manele Bay, this island is
pure paradise at either temperature. At 140 square miles,
Lanai is one of the smallest islands in the Hawaiian Islands
chain and is home to some 2,500 residents. The island
is a beautiful place to visit and is now home to several
major resorts. The diving off the coast of Lanai has always
been pristine and offers some exciting lava formation dives,
including Cathedrals. The reefs around Lanai abound with
marine life and coral. Bring your camera!
